Dashboard variables directly in SQL

Building complex dashboards requires fine-grained control on how data is pulled and visualized in order to maintain optimal performance for your end users. Because of this, we built dashboard variables.

With this new feature, you are now able to use variables in your SQL queries using a simple syntax. This will allow you to filter data for a specific user group prior to joins and filter your data in response to user interactions on the dashboard.
